The Traffic Survival School Program is designed for drivers who have convictions for serious driving violations, have an accumulation of points on their driving record, have been found guilty of a red light violation, receive a ticket while assigned a graduated driver's license or are at risk for having their driving privilege suspended.
The goal of our program is to change risky and potentially unsafe driving behavior. Traffic survival school is licensed by the National Safety Council (NSC), a non-profit organization with a mission to eliminate preventable deaths in our homes, our work and on our roadways! The NSC qualifies instructors to teach the MVD approved curriculum through a rigorous national training program that compliments the instructors' lengthy experience within the transportation and law industries.
The computer system that we use is linked to the Motor Vehicle Department computer system. The system has a timer that runs for a required eight hours. The instructor will start the timer when all students arrive and the course begins. At the end of eight hours, the instructor will end the class and your driving record will be automatically updated. You have 120 days from the date on your first letter to complete your traffic Survival school class before your driving privileges becomes suspended. If you did not complete your traffic survival school in the allotted time you will need to reinstate your drivers license on the motor vehicle department website. If you made it to class in time you will not need to do anything further.
You have received between 8 and 12 points on your driver's license within 12 months.
You did not fully stop at an intersection (red light camera violations).
You carry a Graduated Drivers License you are under 18 years old and were found guilty of a violation.
